[Developers] problem with mfexp?

Hi All,

Attached is an excerpt from a program I've been debugging today.  The 
middle three lines setting len_len(ilen,il2) =

show 2 cases that work and one that fails.  Ironically, the one that 
fails "worked" in version 6.1.1 (borland 5.2 compiler) but not 7.1 (also 
borland) and certainly doesn't with the two most recent ADMB releases 
under gnu (versions 9 and 10).

It's not obvious to me why this would happen.

Any ideas?
