I think that the R code  tries to remove the std file because the 
presence of this file after
the model is run is used as a check on proper convergence. If you 
haven't already run the
model it does not yet exist. Hence the warning. If this is true 
(anyone?) the code could
be modified to remove the file only if it already exists.  Also one 
could devise a better
test of convergence.
