<div>I really am not sure about what the state of user contributed packages is. However, if the idea is to provide a unified package distribution scheme then it seems sensible to look to how the BSDs and Gentoo distribute source and make files. It could make dependency checking easier, have nice web interfaces, and often play reasonably well with version control.</div>

Open source projects need more than developers to survive. If admb wants to grow it might be helpful to put a guide to helping on its website.
