<div dir="ltr">Hi Mitsuyo,<div><br></div><div style>I have used Visual C++ a lot with Windows 7, but do not have access to Windows 8 yet for testing. You may want to try using the gcc compiler:</div><div style><br></div><div style>
<a href="http://www.admb-project.org/documentation/installation/admb-installation-mingw">http://www.admb-project.org/documentation/installation/admb-installation-mingw</a><br></div><div style><br></div><div style>or even easier, the ADMB_IDE installer:</div>
<div style><br></div><div style><a href="http://www.admb-project.org/tools/admb-ide">http://www.admb-project.org/tools/admb-ide</a><br></div><div style><br></div><div style><br></div><div style>However, if you really want to use the Visual C++ compiler, we would love to hear back from you if you do get it to work. You may try compiling an ADMB program without the SDK installed (only Visual Express 2010 installed). However, you will only be able to use 32-bit and you may run into an error that it cannot find a header library. If that is the case, there is an SDK for Windows 8:</div>
<div style><br></div><div style><a href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/hh852363.aspx">http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/hh852363.aspx</a><br></div><div style><br></div><div style>However, I notice that it may not contain everything that the SDK for Windows 7 has. Plus, I am not sure if you will need to use Visual C+ Express 2012 and how that interacts with the ADMB libraries.</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>I apologize that I cannot be of more help, but someone else may have more experience with Windows 8. I believe that future releases of ADMB will be more Windows 8 friendly.</div><div style>
<br></div><div style>Good luck,</div><div style>Allan</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Fri, Apr 5, 2013 at 7:07 AM, Miyagawa Mitsuyo <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:mitsuyo_minami@hotmail.com" target="_blank">mitsuyo_minami@hotmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br>
