I see this as a goal to coincide with the next release of the source code  
and make
scripts. Warnings can only safely be ignored for a short period of time  
until the
compiler police decide that they are errors. Getting rid of warning should  
make it
easier to maintain the source code and to implement ports to other  
compilers and
operating systems in the future.
