[ADMB Users] failed installation

Thank you very much!  In the end, I used all of your suggestions and got everything loaded.  I will definitely be joining the members list for other tips and tricks on ADMB.

Hi Heather,
The installation methods and instructions are in a state of flux, so please don't be sheepish about writing when something doesn't work.In addition to Weihai's good suggestions, I will add that you can run the installer for the ADMB-IDE and then ignore or delete the IDE (Emacs) part, leaving behind command line access to ADMB.
