[ADMB Users] ADMB for 64-bit GCC in Windows

Hi Charlotte,

There is a 64-bit version of ADMB for Windows using the Visual Studio
2010 compiler, which I have installed on my computer. But, I agree with
Arni that you may want to investigate 64-bit Linux as it allows more
memory to be allocated. Ian Taylor and I ran some tests with different
compilers and OS'es and reported the results regarding memory usage on
the ADMB website:

http://admb-project.org/community/benchmarks

and see Mark Maunder's tutorial on memory management.

http://admb-project.org/community/tutorials-and-examples/memory-management

Let me know if you would like some advice on installing the 64-bit
windows version alongside the 32-bit version.

Good luck,
Allan
